WINE SECTOR RESTRUCTURING PROGRAM (PIU)

Request for Expression of Interest from local individual consultants

For the vacant position of Education Component Coordinator

 

Program: WINE and HORTICULTURE SECTORS RESTRUCTURING PROGRAMS

Agriculture sector, CONSULTING SERVICES

Finance Contract (Serapis N° 2010-0484)

The Republic of Moldova has received financing (Loan) in the amount of EUR 75 million from the European Investment Bank (EIB) to undertake the ”Wine Sector Restructuring Program” and EUR 120 million to undertake the “Fruit Garden Program”- both programs will address the structural weaknesses in the Moldovan wine and horticulture industries. The services required by PIU for Education and Research Components of both Programs will be provided by a locally full time hired Education Component Coordinator.

The main objectives of the assignment are to provide support to PIU on the following:

a) Coordinate the organization of procedures needed for the Education Component implementation under 2 programs;

b) Mobilize and coordinate the support for efficient implementation of approved component beneficiaries;

c) Promote and maintain dialogue among partners (Educational/Research Institutions, ministries and other institutions related to the components) in order to assure the good implementation of the projects educational components;

d) Organize meetings and share knowledge with all stakeholders under the Component;

e) Close monitoring of the Beneficiaries sub-projects implementation process.

The CONSOLIDATED UNIT FOR IMPLEMENTING AND MONITORING THE WINE SECTOR RESTRUCTURING PROGRAM now invites eligible individual consultants to indicate their interest in providing the services. Interested consultants must provide information on the below qualification requirements, indicating that they are qualified to perform the services:

a) University degree (management / wine sector);

b) At least 3 years of previous experience as administrative officer/assistant in projects financed by IFIs;

c) Proven experience in collecting/analyzing information / drafting reports (preferably for wine/agriculture sectors).

d) Excellent command of Romanian and English.

e) Excellent computer skills;
