At the invitation of our colleagues from the National Wine and Vine Organization from Romania, the team of the Consolidated Unit for Monitoring and Implementation of Wine Sector Restructuring Program conducted a study visit to the School of Agriculture "Dimitrie Cantemir" from Huşi.

The visit was made ​​in the context of implementation of the investment projects for educational institutions with wine profile under the  "Filiere du Vin" program. 

 "Dimitrie Cantemir" School was established in 1908 and so far the school trains 1,200 students. At their disposal are available 35 modern classrooms, 30 ha of plantations, 18 laboratories for viticulture, vegetable and fruit. The institution's Vinoteca  26,000 bottles in stock is a true treasure that helps teachers to show to the learners the ability to make good wine. Busuioaca de Bohotin, a wine that perfectly combines tradition with modern technology . The School has benefited from European support for the modernization of its winery and was equipped with modern equipment needed for the wine.

The program "Filiere du Vin" for the first time in the last 20 years, invests over 3 million euro in the modernization of educational institutions and research laboratories in the field, such as the Technical University of Moldova and Scientific Institute - Practical Horticulture.
