Over 2 million 100 euros will be invested by the Government with the support of the European Investment Bank in equipping the educational institutions and the National Centre for Verification of Alcohol Production.
On the 13 of May, 2015, the working group of the Ministry of Agriculture has approved investment projects for equipping the vocational schools in the cities Leova and Nisporeni, a new tranche for oenology department at the Technical University of Moldova and modernization of the Centre for Verification of Alcohol Production.
The projects for the vocational schools includes the renovation and equippment of biochemical laboratories, oeno-chemistry, oenology, microbiological analysis and scientific research departments. Besides this, the projects includes didactic plantations of vines of indigenous varieties and aquisition of vineyard processing equipment.
National Center for Alcohol Production will also be equipped, in order to automatizate the certification procedure and to issuie the certificates of quality for wines produced by the companies from the country. Nearly 500 thousand euros will be invested in the purchase of laboratory equipment for analyzing the quality of wines, purchasing an information system, purchase of reagents and materials required for quality control of the wine products.
The Oenological Department of the Technical University of Moldova will benefit from a third investment project worth EUR 550,000 for the complete endowment of wine department with necessary equipment.
Educational institutions and the National Center for Alcohol Production contribute with a contribution of 50 percent of the total value of projects. Thus, investment in equipment and renovation of these four institutions will reach 4 million 200 thousand euro.
The Investments will be made by the Government with the support of the European Investment Bank in the Wine Sector Restructuring Program - "Filiere du Vin".
